After much work and  a 10 year wait our dream became a reality, we are now a 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization.

The purposes for which the Corporation is organized are:

 (1) To educate the public on Puerto Rican culture by organizing   

and sponsoring literary, cultural and educational events in the State of New Jersey, with a primary emphasis on Passaic County;

 

(2) To conduct local non-partisan voter education and registration drives;

 

(3) To fund and award the Adela M. Coca Scholarship to graduating high school students residing in the state of New Jersey and of Puerto Rican heritage enrolled and accepted in college, university or vocational school. 

 

(4) To work on establishing a Center on Puerto Rican culture in Passaic County and

 

(5) To engage in any other activities within the purposes for which nonprofit corporations may be organized in the State of New Jersey.
